Additional Description: Excellent condition two-owner NorCal 993 - last of the air-cooled Porsches and with a reputation for longevity. This car has always garaged under a car cover and never tracked. No tail light fading nor rubber or trim aging. Originally owned in Monterey the current Groveland owner bought it around 2005 with about 65000 miles on the odometer. The interior of this car is awesome for its age. The paint and wheels are original finishes. The tires are at 70% remaining life all around. Just completed complete brake job by Porsche specialist plus a servicing. This car is stored in our warehouse in Groveland - "Gateway to Yosemite". The 993 replaced the 1989-94 version of the 911 called the 964 which was a heavier and with rear suspension characteristics that were criticized. As for styling it was an all-new look while still unmistakably 911. For power Porsche further improved the 964s venerable flat-six. Porsche redesigned the bottom end added hydraulic self-adjusting valve clearance and completely redesigned the exhaust. Front brakes were also enlarged a limited-slip differential was optional and overall the 993 was 20 percent torsionally stiffer than the 964. Reception for the 993 was immediate and enthusiastic. Motor Sport succinctly proclaimed this is by far the best 911 so far and Car and Driver remarked that this is the first 911 thats truly chuckable and you would have to do something stupid to get into trouble...all the involving intricacies of the chassiss personality are still there to be savored. The 993 is collectible for a lot of reasons. Its not just that its the last air-cooled car. Its the blend of classic 911 looks heritage and sound with modern technology and conveniences. Many consider it to be the best looking of all 911s as well and its certainly one of the most rewarding cars to drive even if some of the newer 911s are quicker. What is in fact a very small car (the wheel?base of a Miata the length of an Alfa Spider) manages to contain an airy cockpit with realif kid-sizedback seats plus a big fuel tank and ample luggage space. For a sports car the 1995 911 makes a great touring offer this highly-collectible beauty for $49900. NOTES: We do not provide financing but have good resources to suggest (either traditional auto insurance or stated value collector car insurance). The car is registered though August 2021.
