One of the primary focuses of the changes was reduce weight and indeed the 16M weighs approximately 175 pounds less than standard car thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber lighter wheels ceramic brakes lighter bumpers and lightweight carbon fiber seats. The brakes were enlarged and the engine revised to increase power to 510hp thanks to revised intake and exhaust systems. The transmission was also revised to provide faster shifts.
